The House
A premier atelier of Tanzania.
STARA Designs was founded to bring an uncompromising standard of custom tailoring to Tanzania — Abayas and Kanzu made with the same rigour as Middle Eastern couture houses, informed by our own heritage.
Our master tailors trained in Saudi Arabia and Dubai. They bring decades of experience in silk, embroidery, hand-beading and precision cutting, and now share that craft with a new generation of Tanzanian artisans.
We welcome individuals in person at our Dar es Salaam boutiques. Every piece is collected in boutique; we do not currently offer delivery.
